H! I remember years ago I started learning and using systems and analysis and design when I was in school, I used for a class on .Net at college, and years later I changed the website to PHP. I really liked how it works on PHP, once you have a good data base ready, its fine. It takes a little more time to code new ideas, but it worked fine. Well, years later I decided to change the website to WordPress, because I was having many different ideas, for the website including blogs, surveys, ecommerce etc. With WordPress it just takes few uploads of the plugins and voila! ready to show! But… then again I always compare WordPress with Microsoft Access in the 90’s you could create a super nice database on Access, but one of the problems was, when the database crashed it was difficult to get it back up and running. In conclusion, I love .net! However, for personal projects such as Personal Business Database or Apps. It all depends what kind of information you will be running in your website. If you will work with customers personal information, I recommend you use .Net for more safety.

My programmer is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using WordPress on numerous websites for about a year and am anxious about switching to another platform. I have heard good things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be really appreciated!
